| D.O.T Cans For FlammablesType II Transport and Dispensing Safety Cans have the same quality construction as Justrite's Type II cans, but with added features to provide for the safe transport of hazardous liquids. They are ideal when remote usage of flammables is necessary or anywhere gas fueled equipment is used. Heavy-duty roll bar construction protects the fill and pour mechanisms from damage in a fall, while providing additional, rugged handholds to the standard handle. Rear spout has easy-to-operate hand mechanism for protection against content spillage when in transport mode. Dual fusible link bracket is easy to engage and guards against content spillage and fume release as required by D.O.T., when used for transpiration of fuel. The fusible link melts at 165 degrees F to prevent dangerous pressure build-up at elevated temperatures. Simply disengage the fusible link bracket when the can is not being used for transportation purposes and the can acts like a normal safety can. A second, easily operated hand-actuated mechanism secures the pour spout valve against content spillage in transport mode for protection in shock load conditions. |
